Review of The Big Latch On 2014

Thanks to everyone who joined us on Friday 1 August for The Big Latch On 2014.  We contributed to the national total of 1,430 women latching on and 150 selfies shared on the Women’s Health Action Facebook page – a grand total of 1,580 latches this year!  Thank you to Bays North Harbour Parents Centre, Waitemata Parents Centre, Birkenhead Plunket and La Lache League who joined with us to host this year’s Big Latch On event.  A very big thank you to Shannon McIntyre for the beautiful photos of our mums and babies.

So why is then that the top two statements on the list of the most crippling parenting behaviours that keep children from growing into leaders read: "we don't let our children experience risk" and "we rescue to quickly"?
