Our Moving and Munching course includes two interactive and informative sessions, tailored to parents of 3 month – 6 month old babies, and covers a range of topics including your baby’s physical and mental milestones, bonding and learning through play, starting solids, nutritional requirements, and stages of development.
This course includes two sessions, held Friday 16th February (Munching) at 10.15am and Friday 23rd February (Munching) at 10.15am. Both sessions run in the OPC Rooms at the Rawene Centre.
The Moving session is hosted by Jade Mackey. She is a Transition to Parenting Educator, who also teaches Antenatal and Postnatal classes for Bays North Harbour Parents Centre.
Jade is passionate about the whole transition to parenthood period and wants parents and whānau to feel supported and informed throughout pregnancy, birth, and beyond. This session discusses different strategies to support parents in fostering their baby’s development without adding to the pressure and mental load of parenting.

The Munching session, hosted by Priscilla Natalia is a New Zealand Registered Dietitian (NZRD) and has facilitated Auckland based Parent Centre Nutrition talks since 2015. These 1.5 hour nutrition session provide parents with the latest evidence-based nutrition advice according to the appropriate age and stages of development. She has worked as a NZRD for over 22 years, with having had experience working in clinical practice and working with the University of Otago as a Professional Practice Fellow for the Masters of Dietetics Programme. Priscilla continues to maintain clinical practice as a Paediatric Dietitian working for ACC providers.

Parents of younger babies are most welcome to attend, as are the little ones!
Cost:
- Parents Centre members: $40 (incl. GST) for both sessions
- Non-Parents Centre members: $50 (incl. GST) for both sessions
