Nourish and sustain your energy with practical tips and insights from traditional medicines – qi gong, restorative yoga and acupressure.
Muma Restore, with acupuncturist & yoga practitioner Ange Gervan, will combine inspiration from traditional and holistic modalities to support you on your ongoing journey birthing, nourishing and sustaining yourself as mother. This session is suitable for any Mum, at any stage of your journey, and requires no prior experience with these practices.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is the philosophy from which the practice of acupuncture and mind-body breathing practices like Qi Gong originate. This medical model understands our bodies as a dynamic energetic system. When we are connected to fully “being” in our bodies – acknowledging sensations, responding to physical changes and our meridians are in balance, Qi – universal life force can flow though us, bringing lightness, harmony and joy to ourselves, along with a profound connection with life and purpose.
This session will offer an experience of Qi Gong, restorative yoga poses and through these practices, incorporate practical at home practice tips to help support your wellness.
We will have a chat on sustaining your vital energy from a TCM perspective whilst in restorative yoga poses.
Leave feeling connected to self, inspired, supported and relaxed!
Note to participants:
Please wear comfortable clothes you can move in – a long sleeve layer is ideal as we will be still for some of the time and your body temperature does drop along with warm socks. To get the most out of your experience and learn how to integrate relaxation practices at home, please bring:
1x yoga mat
1x blanket
2x bath towels
1x pillow or yoga bolster/li>
eye pillow if you have one
Each participant will receive a summary handout.
